ATLAS HO SCALE ZINGERS SLOTCAR CHASSIS
by Joe Bodnarchuk - MisterAtlas
The
ZINGERS
slotcar
chassis,
which was produced from 1966 to 1970,
is a redesigned modification of the Slimline PANTHER XX slot car Chassis.
The ZINGERS were touted as The fastest HO slotcars for the price on the market AT THE LOW LOW PRICE OF $1.50.
With proper care and maintenance, your
Atlas
ZINGERS
slotcars
should give you countless hours of satisfactory running.
Unfortunately, maintaining a ZINGERS chassis is an arduous task at best because:
- They are extremely difficult to dismantle.
- They are often found broken.
- Replacement parts are difficult to locate.
From a racers standpoint, repairing ZINGERS chassis to perfect status is nearly impossible.
From a collectors point of view, finding perfect ZINGERS slot cars for the shelf is equally difficult.
